The Later Years Partnership has recently organised two Sloppy Slipper Exchanges to provide properly fitting slippers to seniors, in exchange for an old pair. An exchange in the centre of Southampton gave out 86 pairs of new slippers, and the second exhange on the east of the city replaced 85 pairs. A Sloppy Slipper Exchange is a falls prevention intiative, designed to reduce the risk of falls from people wearing old, worn out or poorly fitting slippers.
